Romance novelist Lori Handeland will speak at the third annual meeting of The Riverside Regional Friends of the Library on Aug. 10 at the Perryville branch.
Handeland will speak on literacy and on the process of taking a novel from the idea stage, to a completed book and to the publishing process. Members hope to increase awareness of the group and recruit new members. The group supports the Riverside Regional Library system, which includes branches in Cape, Scott and Perry counties.
Photographs will be available and baby-sitting will be provided.
