HARDWOOD FLOOR SANDING FIRM OPENS

SEMO Hardwood Floor Sanding Co., a hardwood-floor sanding, staining and refinishing company, has opened in Cape Girardeau.

"We'll refinish floors in residential and commercial buildings," said James Farrar, who recently established the firm. "I have more than 12 years experience in the business."

Farrar worked with a floor-sanding and staining company in Cape Girardeau 11 years. He previously worked with similar companies in the St. Louis area.

Farrar said his business will also include sanding high-school gymnasium floors during the summer months.

"One of our part-time employees has experience in sanding gym floors," Farrar said.

Business hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. "But we can make adjustment on those hours for clients," pointed out Farrar.
