HARDEE ADDS SUBS

Hardee's Food Systems, Inc., the nation's third largest fast food hamburger chain, is introducing a new product category to its menu.

Hardee's~ announced this week that it is introducing four new "Subs" sandwiches Turkey, Roast Beef, Ham and a Deluxe Sub, featuring all three of the deli meats. Each Sub is prepared with thinly sliced meats, topped with lettuce, tomatoes and onions, and stuffed into a six-inch hearth baked sub roll. Customers have their choice of mayonnaise, mustard, or a specially-made Italian Deli dressing.

Hardee's~ plans to aggressively promote the new menu items, which will place the fast food restaurant chain as a major player in the Sub sandwich market. ~Sub sandwiches are now one of the fastest growing food service categories.

"We have a unique advantage with the New Subs," commented Harrison Woodruff, Product Director for Hardee's~. "Customers now have the convenience of taking home fresh Deli Subs from Hardee's~ without getting out of their car. They simply purchase their Subs at a Hardee's~ drive-thru window."
