The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will hold Halloween Happenings Oct. 21 at A.C. Brase Arena Building.
A coloring contest for children 3 through 7 begins at 6 p.m. A pumpkin-carving and decorating contest will be offered for children 8 to 12. Contestants must bring pumpkins, carving tools and supplies.
Magician Bill Coomer will perform at 7 p.m.
A costume carnival for children 2 through 10 is planned. Events are free. A hay maze will be held with more games and activities.
To register a child for these activities call the Parks and Recreation Department or fill out a form that is available at the Arena Building.
