Gunshot kills Bootheel woman

HORNERSVILLE, Mo. -- A Hornersville woman is the victim of a fatal gunshot wound, Dunklin County authorities said Wednesday. Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder identified the victim as Robin Michelle Hall, 36.

Holder said his department received a call Tuesday afternoon about a shooting incident at 606 School St. in Hornersville. Officers arrived to found Hall's body, reportedly shot to death with a 20-gauge shotgun blast.

"We are currently conducting an investigation of the circumstances incidental to the shooting," Holder said.

Until that investigation is complete, authorities won't say if the fatal wound was self-inflicted or whether foul play is suspected.
