Sgt. Zwosta is a native of Cape Girardeau. A 1982 graduate of Cape Central High School, she joined the Army soon afterward.
She was stationed in Germany before being deployed to the Gulf. It was in Germany she married her husband, Frany Zwosta.
Her parents are Nelson and Dorothy Coomer of Cleburne, Texas. They are formerly of Cape Girardeau.
