Knotts is the son of Mr. and mrs. Ervin Knotts of Chaffee.
A member of the Missouri National Guard since 1986, Knotts was deployed to Saudi Arabia Jan. 18th from Fort Sill, Okla.
Just this week, his mother said he had been notified he would be stationed in the Middle East until the fall.
He first was drafted into the service in 1966. After completing tours of duty in Vietnam and Germany, he was honorably discharged in 1974. He is with the 142nd Field Army Brigade.
