Spec. 4 Drum is the daughter of Bill and Linda Drum, formerly of Cape Girardeau and the granddaughter of Genevieve Angle of Cape.
Enlisted since 1987, she completed basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C., then was deployed to Germany.
Before being deployed to Saudi Arabia on Feb. 5, she was stationed at Fort. Leonard Wood.
In a call to her grandmother last week, she said she may be returning home in about six weeks.
