Spec. Noel joinied the Army Reserves in 1988. He was assigned to the D-2 21st General Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
After being called for active duty, he was deployed to Saudi Arabia in late December.
He is now with the 145th Medical Unit. His parents are Henry and Barbara Noel of Jackson, who say they've received a letter and a phone call from him since he's been in Saudi Arabia.
"He would appreciate hearing from family, friends and anyone else that woule like to write to him," they said.
