SGT. STEPHEN T. GAITHER, JR.

U.S. ARMY

Sgt. Gaither is the son of of Tom and Shirley Gaither, formerly of Scott City.

He graduated from Scott City High School in 1984, and entered the Army soon afterward.

In 1987, he married the former Robin Freeman of Cape Girardeau, and they now have a daughter, Amy, who is 1 years old.

Sgt. Gaither has been stationed in Saudi Arabia since mid-August. He was formerly stationed in in Germany and Fort Riley, Kansas.

According to his wife, he asks for tortilla chips picante sauce, beef sausages, crackers and other snacks. He also says he appreciates the support everyone has given him and others involved with Operation Desert Shield.
