CHARLESTON, Mo. -- A Charleston man was found guilty in a murder trial on all three charges by a jury Friday.

Jevon Jones, 20, was found guilty of second-degree murder, first-degree attempted robbery and armed criminal action for the shooting death of Justine L. Wright of Hayti, Mo., on Nov. 11, 2010, according to a news release from Mississippi County Prosecuting Attorney Darren Cann. The jury returned the verdict at about 5:30 p.m. Friday following a two-day trial at the Mississippi County Courthouse. The jury deliberated for two-and-a-half hours.

After responding to call about gunshots, officers had found Wright sitting in his car with several gunshot sounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Jones will appear in court for sentencing in November.
