Dr. Ray Pierotti, evolutionary biologist and associate professor at the University of Kansas, will lecture at Southeast Missouri State University on Nov. 4.
Pierotti will present a lecture titled, "The Links Between Traditional Native American Knowledge and Western Scientific Thought."
Pierotti will speak at 4 p.m. in Dempster Hall's Glenn Auditorium. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Pierotti is a member of the Comanche Nation, adjunct professor at the Haskell Indian Nations University, winner of the Kemper Award in Teaching and faculty adviser of the University of Kansas Native American Students Association.
