Writing competitive grant proposals will be the focus of spring workshops offered by Southeast Missouri State University for non-profit organizations in the Cape Girardeau and Malden areas.
The Cape Girardeau workshop is scheduled for March 10-11 in the University Center. The Malden workshop is scheduled for April 7-8 in the Crisp Bootheel Education Center.
The two-day program will provide novices and experienced grant-writers from non-profit organizations with up-to-date information and skills necessary to prepare effective grant proposals.
Both workshops will be conducted by Mike McCallister, director of sponsored programs at Southeast. McCallister has more than 10 years of experience in Texas, Louisiana and Missouri in obtaining funding for job training, public service and research projects from both federal and state agencies.
