GORDONVILLE -- A 2-year-old boy who was struck by a vehicle backing out of a driveway Friday afternoon died a few hours later in a St. Louis hospital.
Evan Lee Wyatt, son of Jeff and Linda Wyatt, was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau following the 3:25 p.m. Friday accident.

He was then transported by helicopter to Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis, where he died shortly after 9 p.m.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the accident occurred in Gordonville when a van backing out of a private drive struck the young boy.
Funeral services for Wyatt will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
