Gold Cup Award recipients included 21 students from the Keyboards and Kindermusik Conservatory, a piano, keyboard and Kindermusik teaching studio in Cape Girardeau. The awards, sponsored by the National Federation of Junior Music Clubs, were given at the Junior Music Festival at the River Campus recently.
First Gold Cup recipients are Benjamin Boardman, Joshua Boardman, Anna Branson, Tyler Bruns, Alaina Childers, Kameelah England, Matthew Fowler, Lydia Gentry, Carson Green, Emily Greene, Bill Kapp, Vincent Landewee, Jared Neikirk, Lizzie Nussbaum, Carson Retter, Sharon Saba, Adele Soutar and Veronica Spencer.
Second Gold Cup recipients are James Holloway, Kelly Kapp and Reagan Kapp.
The studio will host two free recital concerts at 1 and 3 p.m. May 17 at First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Receptions will follow each recital.
To receive a Gold Cup, students must compete for a minimum of three years earning the top rating. A second Gold Cup requires a minimum of six years earning the top rating. A student can earn up to five Gold Cup Awards.
