GIRL SCOUTS TO HOLD ADULT TRAINING CLASSES

There will be a training class for registered Girl Scout adults in the Jackson/Oak Ridge school districts on Wednesday, Nov. 18. Training will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room, 3rd floor above the city library.

Training for "Trips and Travel" and "Basic Leadership II" will be offered that night. Home study sheets can be picked up through the Council office at 1432 Kurre Lane in Cape Girardeau and completed prior to training.

The Otahki Council provides free training to all adult volunteers. As of July 30, the Council was serving 998 registered adults. Those interested in taking training can contact Mary Jane Fieser, Membership and Marketing Specialist, at (573) 334-7741 for more information.

Volunteers to help with troops as well as special events are needed. For those interested in becoming a Girl Scout volunteer, contact Fieser or Deanna Friedrich, Service Unit Manager, at (573) 266-3581 for more information. Volunteers are not required to have a child in Girl Scouts to participate.
