Girl Scout Troop 158 will be conducting a food drive to benefit Southeast Missouri Food Bank from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Andy's Frozen Custard, 809 N. Kingshighway. People are encouraged to drop off nonperishable canned or boxed food items.
In 2008, Southeast Missouri Food Bank, a member of Feeding America, distributed more than 2.8 million pounds of food to hungry families in sixteen counties in Southeast Missouri. Girl Scout cookies will also be available for sale, and Girl Scouts will be dressed up as cookies. The Southeast Missouri Food Bank provides help to more than 140 not-for-profit hunger relief programs.
