Barbara, 10, has fun making clothes for her dolls but needs fabric, a sewing kit and help that a fashion design kit could offer. Encouraging this child's creativity and motivation would make her Christmas merrier and keep her amused over Christmas vacation.

Christmas for the Elderly

Mr. F., 70, lives with his wife and mentally retarded adult son, who also has health problems. Mr. F. recently had a stroke and is confined to a wheelchair. His recliner now serves as his bed because the wheelchair won't fit through the doorway. Getting in and out of the recliner is becoming increasingly difficult. Financial assistance for a lift chair would allow Mr. F to be more independent. Medicaid may pay $250 toward the cost, but these chairs cost between $700 and $800.
