A German Dance fund-raising activity for Notre Dame High School netted $9,600 for the school.

Over 700 people turned out May 27 in the A.C. Brase Arena Building to hear German music and eat German food to benefit Notre Dame.

Marylan Diebold of Kelso won the top prize, an entertainment center. Craftsmen Independent Union of Cape Girardeau won an oak bookshelf. Henry Niederkorn of New Hamburg won an afghan made by the Sisters of St. Augustine Parish.

"The evening was made possible by many generous donations and some dedicated volunteers," said Martin Jansen, German Dance chairman.
