Adult education classes, often known as GED classes, will begin Sept. 20 from 6-8:30 p.m. in Jackson at the R.O. Hawkins Junior High in the art room. Classes will be Monday and Wednesday evenings. The Junior High is on West Lane. Students will use the north entrance.
The instruction is free to all adults who wish to brush up on basic skills, study for employment or entrance exams, English as a second language, learn to read or study to pass the GED.
Each student has his own individualized study and instruction. The student sets his own study schedule and studies at his own pace. For additional information call 334-3669 or 243-9939. The program is provided by the Missouri Department of Education through the Cape Girardeau Public Schools in Jackson.
