A garden seminar, sponsored by the Jackson Men's Garden Club, can give gardeners in the Cape Girardeau area a head start on the 1992 growing season.
Club officials have announced that a one-day seminar will be held on Feb. 19, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Vocational-Technical School.
The one-day program will cover annual flowers, safe insect and weed control, landscaping and lawn care, flower arranging, growing special iris and rose culture.
A single registration fee will be charged, $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Registrations will be accepted until Feb. 27 by Eldred Hargens, club treasurer, 875 Otto, Jackson, Mo., 63755.
