SIKESTON -- Scott County Citizens for Economic Development will sponsor a town meeting Wednesday to discuss the effects of a proposed casino gaming operation at the Southeast Missouri Port Authority.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Sikeston Ramada Inn.
Another town meeting will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the VFW Hall in Scott City.
On hand will be Eddie Farve, mayor of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; Ronnie Peterson, sheriff of Hancock County; Mike Leyhee, corporate director of security for Casino Magic Corp.; and other community leaders.
