BENTON, Mo. -- Convicted murderer Richard Yang has been returned to Scott County to face sentencing nearly seven years after the murder of his wife. Yang stabbed to death his estranged wife, Louise Yang, on July 4, 1998, at her home in Sikeston. After entering a guilty plea in January 2000, he fled from authorities while out on bond. Earlier this month he was captured by the FBI in Mexico on April 15 and sent to Los Angeles. Yang arrived at the Scott County Sheriff's Department Wednesday night. He will now face sentencing for the murder. A disposition hearing is set for May 3 at 10 a.m. before Judge David Dolan in Benton. Yang is being held in the Scott County Jail without bond.
