FRUITLAND, Mo. -- Fruitland Livestock Auction Wednesday. Receipts: 432; last week, 536; last year, 559; compared to last week steers and heifers sold steady to 2.00 higher.

Slaughter cows sold 1.00 higher and bulls sold 2.00 higher; demand moderate and supply light. Cows made up approximately 33 percent of the run, 66 percent feeders.

Steers made up approximately 45 percent of the offering, 2 percent Holsteins and 53 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 19 percent.

Slaughter cows sold 2.00 higher and bulls sold 3.00 higher; demand moderate, supply light. Cows and pulls made up approximately 53 percent of the offering and 47 percent heifers. Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 16 percent.
