"I had an opportunity recently to get back into the business," said Reed. "We've had good response during the first two months."

The new service will be providing catering service of all types.

"We'll do business luncheons, wedding receptions, church dinners, home dinners and cocktail parties, and any other occasion that calls for it," said Reed. "We also prepare box lunches for bus trips."

Reed has been in the Cape Girardeau area six years.

"I've been involved in sales and marketing with interest in food service," he said.

Also associated with the new business is Anne Brock, who operated a catering service in Scott City about 10 years.

"This will be a full-time, full-operation catering service," said Reed. "I will be overseeing all phases of the operation, from the preparing of the food to the serving."
