Friedheim man seriously hurt in crash on Route U
A Friedheim man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning on Route U, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. Cody R. A Friedheim man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning on Route U, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
Cody R. Blessing, 21, was driving a 2003 Ford F250 south on Route U north of County Road 381 about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday when he failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, the patrol reported.
Blessing, who was not using a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center, the patrol reported.

The vehicle was totaled, according to the patrol.
