FRIEDHEIM MAN INJURED IN SUNDAY TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

A Friedheim, Mo., man was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital with moderate injuries Sunday after a head-on collision near Friedheim.
Harry Curry, 57, was injured in the 6:30 p.m. accident on County Road 413, two miles south of Route KK. The driver of the other vehicle, Jamie Girard, 27, of Oak Ridge, Mo., was not injured.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Girard attempted to drive around a curve on the wrong side of the road and struck Curry's vehicle head-on.
Girard was issued a summons for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in an accident. Curry was issued a summons for driving while suspended.
