CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Area families may receive free valentines to send to service people stationed in the Persian Gulf.
"We'll give valentines to people wanting to send them to service men and women," said Judy Wilferth, owner of Kicks, a greeting cards and gift shop located in the Crossroads Shopping and Professional Center, at the intersection of Independence and Kingshighway.
The promotion is in conjunction with one of Kicks' major card suppliers, Recycled Paper Products.
"There is nothing to buy," said Wilferth. "People can come by and pick up a valentine."
For people who do not know any one stationed in the Mideast, names and addresses of service people will be provided for anyone wanting to send a valentine.
