ST. LOUIS -- A new training class for would-be computer coders in St. Louis is aimed not at burgeoning techies but instead as a reboot for the jobless.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the program called reBootU is offered by the not-for-profit organization LaunchCode, along with St. Louis Community College and the city of St. Louis' workforce department.
The free class will be held at the T-REx incubator downtown and train up to 40 students in a 20-week boot camp.
LaunchCode works to place computer coders in the workplace, with programs aimed at prospective apprentices. There's also an effort to increase the number of women in the tech workplace.
