A free family concert will be performed tonight by The River City Ramblers Dixieland band at the First Presbyterian Church, 235 Broadway.
The concert, sponsored by J.C. Penney Co. Inc. and the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The River City Ramblers of St. Louis are known for their mixture of talent, wit and entertainment style.
The band illustrates the use of improvisation in their look at the roots of Dixieland music. Band members include Robert Coccarini on trumpet, Eric Sager on clarinet, Trebor Tichenor on piano, Joseph Schulte Jr. on tuba and Joe Buerger on drums.
Financial assistance for the concert also is provided by the Missouri Arts Council.
