FOURTH GRADERS MARK DENTAL HEALTH MONTH

February is American Dental Health Month and the American Dental Association produces a program planning kit for its state and local dental societies.

This includes health fairs, free dental screenings, museum exhibits, classroom presentations, dental office tours, and poster contests.

The theme for this year's poster contest was "Healthy Smiles are Out of This World." The fourth grade students were eligible to participate in the contest to depict an original design that reflected the importance of good dental health. The art class at South Elementary participated in the dental poster contest and the winners were selected from a panel of judges.
