Four people were injured in three separate accidents Wednesday on highways in Southeast Missouri.
Christy Jackson, 20, of Campbell was injured when her vehicle ran off Route H in Dunklin County, struck an embankment and overturned three times.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the accident happened at 9:10 a.m. five miles northwest of Malden. Jackson was treated at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
Roger Kevitt was taken to Madison Memorial Hospital in Fredericktown after an accident on U.S. 67. The brakes failed on Kevitt's vehicle while he approached a stop sign on the highway. He ran off the road, skidded into the southbound lane and overturned.
Kevitt, 38, of Sikeston received minor injuries, according to the patrol's report.
Two people received minor injuries when a vehicle pulled into the path of another car, which then caught fire and burned. The accident happened at 3:15 p.m., on Scott County Route O east of Miner.
Amy McCall, 19, and Allen Rhyne, 17, both of Sikeston, were taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston for treatment.
McCall pulled into the path of Rhyne's vehicle, hitting the car, which then caught fire and burned.
