BENTON, Mo. -- Four Southeast Missouri residents, including a 16-year-old, were hospitalized Friday after a two-car collision on Interstate 55 near Benton.

Lana K. McAnulty, 51, of Sikeston suffered moderate injuries when the Dodge Caravan she was driving in I-55's northbound lane struck the rear of a Ford Tempo, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Of the Tempo's three occupants -- all from Campbell, Mo., -- only Gunter E. Cameron, 16, was listed in the patrol's reports as having moderate injuries. Waymon Franklin, 51, and Felicia Huber, 47, had minor injuries.

The collision took place shortly after 2 p.m. about one mile south of Benton.

All involved were wearing seat belts and were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center.

The 2005 Caravan sustained moderate damage; the 1988 Tempo was totaled.
