A serious collision at the corner of Sprigg St. and Lexington Ave. left four passengers injured and en route to the hospital Thursday. All four patients were conscious
At about 5 p.m., a Chrysler Sebring collided with a Ford Taurus Wagon leaving the front of the wagon crumpled and the driver's side of the Sebring inverted.
On the scene, paramedics were seen securing two people on stretchers with neck braces before loading them into waiting ambulances.
The Cape Girardeau Fire Department reported it used the jaws of life and a hydraulic spreader to extricate two people from the Chrysler Sebring.
