JONESBORO, Ill. -- Four Missouri residents were charged Thursday with home invasion and armed robbery in Union County, Ill.
According to a news release issued by Union County State's Attorney Tyler Edmonds, Anthony T. Sample, 36, of Jackson; Wesley M. Jones III, 28, of Cape Girardeau; Jenna A. Young, 37, of Oak Ridge; and Lakisha S. Bernachi, 19, of Cape Girardeau each has been charged with one count of home invasion and one count of armed robbery.
The release said the four defendants are alleged to have entered a residence in Anna, Ill., while armed with a Taser on Wednesday. They were arrested near the Anna residence and were in court Thursday for their first appearances. A preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 6 for all four defendants. They were being held Thursday in the Jackson County Jail in Murphysboro, Ill.
