Four fired from KC radio station claim age discrimination

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Four former deejays have filed age-discrimination complaints naming Kansas City radio station KYYS-FM.

The four alleged Thursday that station owner Entercom Communications fired them last month because of their age. The Philadelphia-based company says the four were let go because of declining ratings and its decision to change the station's format.

The complaints were filed with the U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission by "99.7 KY" morning show hosts Max Floyd, who's 67 years old, and 51-year-old Tanna Guthrie. Also filing were afternoon host Brian "Slacker" Adams and midday personality Traci Wilde, who are both in their 40s.

The former deejays say the station's format has not changed its classic-rock format.
