Four construction workers arrested at Hannibal

HANNIBAL, Mo. (AP) -- Four construction workers building a kiln at Continental Cement are arrested on suspicion of being in the country illegally.

Their arrests Wednesday followed one in September during the same investigation.

Cement plant spokesman Frank Salter says the men were working for Schueck Steel of Little Rock, Ark., which was contracted by Continental Cement to build the plant's new $150 million kiln.

Salter and Schueck management say the construction workers provided identification papers.

Governor Blunt has ordered checks of immigration status of workers employed by contractors who get state incentives.
