PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- The Perry County Sheriff's Department arrested four people in recent days on suspicion of distribution of controlled substances, after a lengthy investigation.
On March 8, officers watched as an informant met with Shawn Matthew Wenzel, 32, and Janel Boland, both of St. Mary, Mo., to buy marijuana from Wenzel, a probable-cause statement said. Wenzel picked the informant up in a passenger car. A small child was in the car at the time of the transaction, the statement said.

On May 29, Eric James Baltrush allegedly sold five hydrocodone pills for $20 to an informant outside a Perryville business, according to a probable-cause statement. Baltrush was booked into the jail Monday on a charge of distribution of a controlled substance, and remained there on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
In another investigation, deputies allegedly learned they could buy Xanax pills from Jennifer Lynn Priller, 47, of Perryville, a probable-cause statement said. On May 24, an informant met with Priller outside a grocery store, where Priller sold the informant 10 pills for $20, a probable-cause statement said.
Deputies booked Priller into the jail Saturday on a charge of distribution of a controlled substance. She posted a $10,000 bond Tuesday.
