CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Missouri State Board of Nursing will hold a public forum to gather comments about its advanced-registered-professional-nursing-position statement.

The forum will be held Monday at the Drury Lodge from 7-9 p.m.

All nurses, administrators, physicians and others who are interested are invited to attend.

The position statement calls for a new nursing title called advanced registered nurse practitioner. A nurse with this designation would have advanced skills in a specialty area of nursing practice.
