ASHLAND, Mo. (AP) -- Jim Pauley, who served in the Missouri House of Representatives for 14 years, has died. He was 76.
Pauley, a Democrat from Ashland, died Wednesday. He represented the 24th District, which encompasses much of southern Boone County, from 1983 to 1997.
Before joining the Legislature, Pauley served five terms on the Ashland Board of Aldermen. He also operated a hardware store Ashland.
In his last term in the legislature, Pauley was the chairman of a committee that examined miscellaneous bills and resolutions. He was also vice chairman of the House Committee on Recreation and Natural Resources.
