Since beginning his career with the patrol on Jan. 1, 1993, McCullough has been stationed in Malden. He will remain in Malden but will be designated as assistant zone commander of Zone 10 headquartered at Kennett.

McCullough, 29, graduated from Jackson High School in 1986 and attended Southeast Missouri State University where he received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. After he graduated, he served with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety for one and one-half years before being appointed to the Highway Patrol Academy.

He is married to the former Kelly Rayburn of Cape Girardeau.
