FORMER JACKSON WOMAN PUBLISHES MUSIC ARTICLE

JACKSON -- Carol McDowell, formerly of Jackson, has published part of her master's thesis in the Missouri Journal of Research in Music Education.

The article is titled "The History of Classroom Instruments in the Silver Burdett Music Series."

She received her master's degree in music education from The Florida State University. McDowell is also a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, 1986, and Jackson High School, 1982.

She teaches music at Riverview Gardens School District in St. Louis and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe McDowell of Jackson.
