Former Cape Girardeau County Sheriff Herman F. "Bob" Gribler, 69, of Jackson passed away Feb. 2, 2012 at his home.
Gribler served as sheriff from 1981 to 1985 and was a lieutenant for the Jackson Police Department before being elected sheriff. He was also on the original board of directors for the Cape Girardeau County-Bollinger County Major Case Squad, which formed in 1983.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Revs. Darrell Faire and Tom Wall officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with full military honors.
