FOREST CHIEF TO VISIT OAKWOOD BOTTOMS

WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- F. Dale Robertson, chief of the National Forestry Service, and John Walker, Ducks Unlimited president, will visit Oakwood Bottoms Thursday.

Oakwood Bottoms is a stopping off point for ducks when they start their migration back to the Canaddian Northlands each spring.

A water convenience project, which will control the depth of water in the bottoms, is now under way at the site.

Others who will be at the site Thursday are Rodney K. Salee, forest supervisor for the Shawnee National Forest, and Jeff Ver Steeg of the Illinois Department of Conservation.
