Although the East Coast is in for a nor'easter over Thanksgiving weekend, Southeast Missouri should be normal, with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s.
David Humphrey, lead forecaster at the National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky, said no snow is predicted locally. There's a small chance of precipitation Wednesday, but right now, it looks like it might be rain showers.
Depending on timing and temperature, Humphrey said the area could get some flurries around Thanksgiving. However, there's a 20 percent to 30 percent chance of sprinkles or light showers.
"In the immediate four-state area, any impact will be inconsequential," he said, referring to travel.
The next chance of precipitation is over the weekend, when temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s, Humphrey said.
