United Way of Southeast Missouri is accepting applications from local not-for-profit organizations providing emergency food or shelter programs. United Way recently received $38,126 through the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency. An application form may be found online at www.unitedwayofsemo.org/EFSP.aspx. The deadline to apply is March 26. Organizations receiving funding last year as part of this program included FISH, Safe House for Women, Salvation Army and the Jackson Ministerial Alliance.
