The Jackson Ministerial Alliance operates a food pantry that is housed in Cox Memorial Hall at New McKendree United Methodist Church, 225 S. High St., in Jackson.
The pantry is operated by volunteers from churches within the Alliance five days a week. The hours of the pantry are 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. and serves the Jackson area.
Donations of food are presently needed to support this vital program. Cash donations are also needed and appreciated to help support aid to people in the Jackson area who are in need of assistance.
The pantry is presently in need of the following items: dry cereal, fruit juice, pancake mix and syrup, instant mashed potatoes, canned meat products, crackers, corn muffin mix, biscuit mix, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti and spaghetti sauce.
