CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Bi-State Oil Company facility at 920 N. Kingshighway recently received first place in the Sunocco Marketing's "Winners Circle" Service Station Beautification Program.
"This is a big honor," said Bob Blank, of Bi-State Oil. "Our station had to go through inspections periodically throughout the year."
"Your score was 104, the highest you could attain," said Kenneth L. Queen, of Sun Refining and Marketing Co., in a letter to Blank. "It takes a lot of time to keep a place spotless, both inside and out."
Also involved in the judging are employees at the facility who serve the public.
Bi-State just missed having two stations in the final judging.
Blank said the station at 400 Morgan Oak missed the finals by one point.
