Looking down, into the pool
The reflection there
Not mine.
see someone I'm not,
And I wish we all weren't so
Blind.
Like the pool, a mirror
I am.
Reflecting false images, personalities.
Such as all humanity,
No one exposes their frailties.
Just Be Yourself,
So that's what they tell me,
But in this world, my life,
what they tell me,
But in this world, my life,
You fake the cards you're not dealt.
I touch the water in the pool,
The reflection ripples away,
For now I will be true,
For now I will stay.
I'll be myself for now,
Letting out all the
Emotions I am scared to show-
Angst, fear, frustration, sorrow-
But a strong, happy image will
Appear
When I need her tomorrow.
