The first trailer for David Fincher's film "Gone Girl" was released online Monday.

The 20th Century Fox feature, based on the book of the same title by Gillian Flynn, was partly shot in Cape Girardeau over several weeks last fall. Actors Ben Affleck, Neil Patrick Harris and Rosamund Pike were among the celebrities spotted around town during the filming.

The 1 1/2-minute trailer opens with a shot of Affleck as Nick Dunne speaking at a vigil for his missing wife, Amy (Pike). The vigil was filmed at the Common Pleas Courthouse gazebo.

Other recognizable Cape Girardeau moments in the trailer include Nick Dunne being questioned at the former federal building on Broadway, a crowd outside "The Bar" at Themis and Spanish streets and a search for Amy Dunne being conducted in various residential neighborhoods. The trailer closes with a shot of the Cape Girardeau riverfront.
